Who will provide care and support for your child when you are no longer able to do so? The Arc Oregon can help you prepare now for your child’s safety and security after you are gone by explaining what programs and services are available through The Arc Oregon, and by connecting you to resources to help develop a plan for the future.
Since 1999, The Arc Oregon has administered the Oregon Special Needs Trust (OSNT), a low-cost, State-approved pooled trust for Oregonians experiencing a disability. The trust allows individuals and families to protect assets and maintain a higher quality of life, while still maintaining eligibility for means-tested public benefits.
For over 35 years, The Arc Oregon has served as professional guardian, advocate, and health care representative to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Oregon. Through our Guardianship, Advocacy & Planning Services (GAPS) program, we can provide a variety of services based on each individual’s specific needs.
As a partner in the Oregon Think College! initiative, The Arc Oregon is actively involved in advocating for higher education opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Doors are opening all over, and in many ways, for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and we are excited to be a part of it!
